Ride Cancellation Fee

Modified on Wed, 22 Feb, 2023 at 4:32 PM

Plans can change here’s and cancellation occur, however to protect our drivers from using their fuel and time without any compensation when riders either forget to cancel or simply do not show up this is how our cancellation policy works.

You may cancel a ride that you have requested through the Kari app, but may be charged a cancellation fee in certain circumstances. Current cancellation fees are equal to the full fare amount you were quoted in the Kari app. Here’s when that happens.

  • If you cancel a ride within 5 minutes of your driver arriving at your pickup you will be charged a cancellation fee.
  • If your driver arrives at your pickup, waits for the required 5 minutes and you are marked as a no-show, you will be charged a cancellation fee.

Partial cancellation fees can be charged from time to time. Here's when that happens.

  • If you cancel a ride and your driver is on route to your pickup location.

If you scheduled a pickup and need to change the time you can always email support@meetkari.com to have the time changed or cancel and rebook without being charged a cancellation fee.

Note:

  • Be considerate to drivers as ride cancellations may affect their earnings and activities
  • If you have any questions about cancellation fees, please contact our support team.
  • Do not play 'taxi roulette' where you call or book taxis and/or ride-share and go with the first one. With Kari, we will charge you if you do not show up for a booking.
