Potential kari drivers must pass a criminal background check. kari's background checks are provided by a third-party company.
kari reviews the results of these checks and disqualifies applicants who don’t meet the standards of both kari and local regulations. Applicants are ineligible to drive on the kari platform if, among other things, the background check results include a conviction for a:
- Violent crime
- Drug-related offense
- Sexual offense
- Certain theft or property damage offense
kari conducts background checks annually and reserves the right to disqualify a driver at any time should the background check reveal a disqualifying offense or for any safety-related reason.
